Payment Options

 

Option 1: Direct Payment

Pay tuition, fees, and all other charges directly to the University as stated on the bill you will receive prior to the beginning of each semester. Payment for the Fall Semester will be due August 31, 2017. Payment for the Spring Semester will be due by January 2, 2018. In addition to traditional payment options, you may also pay electronically.  You may use either a checking/savings account ($1 processing fee) or credit card (2.65% processing fee). Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.  International wires are also accepted online.

As a reminder, the Higher One online payment system is down for maintenance at 6 p.m. CST the last day of each month and will then reopen at 6 a.m. the next business day.

Option 2: VANDY Plan available through Higher One

Enrollment in the VANDY Plan (interest-free monthly payment option) for the Fall 2017 semester opens May 1, 2017. The VANDY Plan allows you to spread your expenses over a set period of time.

If you would like to pay your education expenses monthly, use the VANDY Plan (interest-free monthly payment option) offered by our partner, Higher One. The payment plan is available for a small enrollment fee and includes personal account service, automated account information 24 hours a day, and access to your account through their web site. The payment plan can be paid online by ACH payment (processing fee $1) or by credit card (processing 2-3%). The deadline to enroll in the Interest-Free Monthly Payment Option is August 31, 2017 for the Fall semester (payments begin May 15) and January 31, 2018 for the Spring semester (payments begin October 15).

Students - To enroll, please follow these simple instructions.

  1. Log into your YES Landing Page and click “Billing Portal”.
  2. On your account page, click the link under Vandy Plans.
  3. Enter the information that is requested and click “Submit”.

 Other Payers - To enroll, please follow these simple instructions.

  1. Log into Cashnet -https://commerce.cashnet.com/VANDERBILTpay?LT=P.
  2. On the student account page, click the link under Vandy Plans.
  3. Enter the information that is requested and click “Submit”.

 

Financial Aid

University Tuition Scholarships are service-free awards that pay all or part of tuition costs. The following graduate awards are normally supplemented by a full University Tuition Scholarship, which usually includes student health insurance coverage: University Fellowships, Graduate Teaching Assistantships, Graduate Research Assistantships, Traineeships, and Teacher Training Awards.

Some families may need more help in meeting their education expenses. For those needing additional assistance, please contact the Vanderbilt University Office of Student Financial Aid at 1-800-288-0204 . Counselors have been specially trained to address your needs with various grants, loans (student or parent) and work programs.
