Application Process to Accept Credit Card Payments

It takes a minimum of 45 days to set up a new merchant account, with websites taking longer depending on the vendor. Merchants must use the acquiring bank, Elavon, however in rare circumstances exceptions can be made with permission of the university treasurer.

Timeline (45 days)

  1.      Find vendor for needs

  2.      PCI compliance review

        (Demo – Campus Guard – Contract)

  3.      Fill out request to process (MID Application)

           a) MID set up with acquiring bank

           b) MID set up with vendor

  4.      Testing by vendor

  5.      Go live
